Organized in 1960 as a Women’s
Division, membership was only open to the wives of Winter
Carnival Royalty and volunteers. Their purpose was mainly
one of providing hospitality and a feminine touch to
Carnival activities. As the years progressed, so did
the organization and its focus. The organization’s
programming evolved from the simple hosting duties of
an event and activity coordination.
Membership is now open to the public,
and currently is the only group within the Winter Carnival
that does not require membership in past royal family
for admittance.
Also, in the early 90’s the name
was changed to the Ambassadors of the Saint Paul Winter
Carnival and males were welcomed as members. Membership
is open to anyone who is enchanted by the tradition
and pageantry of the Saint Paul Winter Carnival and
we invite you to join.
